Ford End Church of England Primary School

Welcome to our website. Here you will find all sorts of useful information about our school. Once you have had a look round our website, I hope that you will make a visit to see us for yourself.

Ford End C of E Primary School is a small village school with a family feel, close to Chelmsford. We have all the advantages of a rural setting but we also take a part in all local schools’ activities. The excellent facilities and friendly ethos ensure that everyone feels valued here. Our parents know their children will leave as confident, well rounded achievers; fully ready for the next stage in their educational development.

Sarah Cottee - Acting Headteacher

Guided by our Christian values and the teachings of Jesus, individuals are encouraged to grow together; cultivating love and respect for others within a successful learning environment.

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Our school raises their aspirations, enabling them to make the most of their abilities and thereby live fulfilled lives, equipped with the skills and values needed in a rapidly changing world.

Our rural Christian school plays an active part in the local community with close links to the Church. We encourage all parents to be actively involved in the life of the school. Children from diverse backgrounds thrive in this environment where they learn to be confident, independent, tolerant and respectful individuals.

Through high quality teaching, our children’s emotional and spiritual growth is nurtured. We have designed our exciting curriculum to develop resilient and enquiring minds and to maximise the educational and physical achievements of our children.
